Jan Voss is a German artist who lives in Paris. Yves Michaud describes his work as follows: “Obsessive immersion on the one side, bombastic fireworks on the other.” Several years ago Ernst Gombrich had referred to the pyrotechnical aspect of modern art with a certain distrust. The fascinating thing about Jan Voss’ work is the combination of both characteristics which confers a special rhythm on his work and opens up a new dimension and movement.
