Professional Rules
The rules of professional conduct applicable to BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT Lawyers are found in the Federal Lawyers Ordinance (Bundesanwaltsordnung), Federal Regulations for Lawyers (Berufsordnung für Rechtsanwälte), the Lawyer's Remuneration Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz), the Specialist Lawyer's Ordinance (Fachanwaltordnung), the Professional Code for Lawyers of the European Community and the Act Regulating the Activity of European Lawyers in Germany (EuRAG). BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT Patent Attorneys are subject to the Patent Attorneys Ordinance (Patentanwaltsordnung), Federal Regulations for Patent Attorneys (Berufsordnung der Patentanwälte) and Rules of Conduct of the Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Industrielle (FICPI). European Patent Attorneys are subject to the Code of Professional Conduct of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi). All provisions can be accessed through the website of the Patent Attorneys Association (Patentanwaltskammer), the FICPI as well as from the epi.

Professional Liability Insurance
BOHMERT & BOEHMERT has concluded a professional liability insurance policy with Allianz-Versicherungs-AG, 10900 Berlin in respect of its Lawyers and Patent Attorneys. The geographical scope of insurance protection covers activities within the member states of the European Union and accords with the minimum requirements of § 51 Federal Lawyers Ordinance (BRAO) and § 45(1) Patent Attorneys Ordinance (PAO).
