studied physics and computer sciences at the Technical University of Braunschweig. After graduation, she worked as a research associate at the Theoretical Physics Department. During a stay at a Chinese Patent Attorneys Office she gained experience in the field of intellectual property rights in South East Asia. She is particularly interested in protection of computer software and also in patent related problems occuring in connection with the Internet.
