
Dipl.-Biochem. Ph.D. (Rockefeller Univ.) Holger Dormann
studied biochemistry at Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and at the Rockefeller University in New York. His research focused on protein translocation into the endoplasmic reticulum and on the nuclear pore complex of eukaryotic cells. For his doctoral degree, which he also obtained from the Rockefeller University as a fellow of the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds, he worked on a research project in the area of histone modifications and chromatin biology.
He joined BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT in 2009. The focus of his work is examination, opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trademark Office. He deals with matters relating to various fields within chemistry and biology, in particular biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, biotechnology and nanotechnology.
