
Olaf Wolters
Attorney at Law (Germany), admitted at the European Trade Mark Office, Partner, Berlin
Studied science of law at Göttingen and Oslo and completed his training at Frankfurt am Main and New York, specialising in business law.
His legal career began in 2000 with the Legal Department of Deutsche Bahn AG. From 2001 to 2005 he worked as lawyer for a Frankfurt law firm, with emphasis on media and online law.
From 2005 to 2011, Olaf Wolters headed the Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software (BIU), regarded as the most important interest group for the computer and games industry in Germany. During this time, he was also board member and legal committee chairman of the Society for the Prosecution of Copyright Infringements (GVU) and board member of the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE) in Brussels.
Olaf Wolters has since autumn 2011 devoted his legal experience to intellectual property law at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT. His strengths lie in media and copyright law, especially in the entertainment media area. In addition, he is concerned with protection for youth media and the law of digital media, and media regulation and supervision.
