Dr. Julian Waiblinger
Attorney at Law (Germany), Berlin
studied law at Humboldt-University Berlin as well as at King's College London (diploma in legal studies). He obtained his doctoral degree at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg in the field of copyright law with a thesis entitled "plagiarism in Science".
During his legal clerkship he worked among other places in a large American law firm in New York City as well as at the head quaters of the German Foreign Office.
Since 2011 Julian Waiblinger applies his legal expertise in the field of intellectual property law at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT. Besides counselling in copyright, trademark and competition law, IT licensing and contract law is a key area of his work. Another focus of his activity is antitrust law.
Julian Waiblinger has published in law journals and is a member of GRUR and of the German Attorney Association (DAV).
Besides his legal work his passion lies in music. He studied music at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music Berlin and is an active percussionist; he has published several albums under a US records label.
