Attorney at Law (Germany), Certified IP-Lawyer, admitted at the European Trade Mark Office, Partner, Bremen
studied law at the University of Marburg and obtained a doctor´s degree at the Institute for Commercial and Economic Law also at the University of Marburg about the “addressees of the non-discrimination rule” of German Antitrust Law.
Dr. Ludwig Kouker works in particular in the fields of trade mark law, licensing law and competition law, including litigation matters. He has broad experience in the negotiation of out of court settlements, delimitation and license agreements. He advises and supports his clients also in connection with strategic questions concerning the development and establishment of IP-portfolios. Furthermore, he has specialised in questions of intellectual property law with antitrust relevance. His clients include numerous companies in the consumer goods industry as well as retailers.
Dr. Ludwig Kouker is member of the Expert Committee for Intellectual Property at the Hanseatic Bar Association Bremen and a member of INTA, GRUR. AIPPI, ECTA and LES. He regularly publishes articles in legal journals. The US legal reference book, Best Lawyers International rated him in 2009 and 2010 amongst the top attorneys in Germany.
